Cascade Pass connects western Washington with the mountain valley that harbors Stehekin, at the head of Lake Chelan. The only way to get to Stehekin is by boat up the lake, or walking a trail like that over Cascade Pass.
This is the quintessential north cascades hike. It packs the most "bang for the buck" in the area, rising only 1700ft in 3.7 miles to magnificent alpine views.
