  • The Midwest US
Field Sparrow Illinois
The Land of Lincoln was once the edge of the United States, but today is mostly farmland, punctuated by the urban megalopolis of Chicago.

Duluth Shoreline Minnesota
Minnesota is in the upper midwest of the US. Minnesota has something for everyone, from urban living to the great outdoors... where you'll find at least 10,000 lakes.

Wooden Skis Wisconsin
Beer, Brats and Packers... what more could you want?

Sunrise in the Badlands South Dakota
The flat part of South Dakota is well... flat. I'm sure there's some charm to it, but not sure where to look. The western quarter of the state however contains some wonderful topography from the Badlands to the Black Hills and more.

Sand, Snow and Grass Indiana Dunes
The Indiana Dunes, on the shore of Lake Michigan were made a National Park in 2019. When this place is busy, it's still interesting, but crowded. Go there on an early winter's morning if you want to get a taste of the natural world, even when you're surrounded by an urban expanse for a hundred miles in every landward direction.
