Clearing Storm Batad to Pula
The rice terraces of Batad are famous throughout the world. Batad is only reachable via a hike a mile or so from the end of a winding bumpy road. From Batad, it's another 7-8 miles or so, mostly uphill through countless terraces, staircases, trails and bridges to the little town of Pula, where you'll find a school, but no electric power.

Hapao Valley View Hapao to Banaue
Most explorations of the rice terrace country of north Luzon in the Philippines begin or end in Banaue. It's the main transportation hub in the area, and has most of what everyone needs (except an ATM). Hapao is a quiet community about 15km to the west, in the bottom of a gentle valley.

Streets of Manila Manila
Manila is a giant crazy city with a whole lot of people, cars, buildings... you name it, Manila has it. Is it out of control? Does it work? Is it broken? Is it destined for greatness or doomed? I prefer to think of it as an organism, with good parts and bad parts... and despite all the odds, it just keeps growing.
