Not quite. Although it was pretty good. There’s just something about the May-December romance that doesn’t seem right though. Jack Nicholson’s character is a creep – no matter how much money he has. Basically, this movie says that money can buy people. If Jack Nicholson was a regular nice guy (not even neurotic) and had no money, there’s no way Helen Hunt’s character would go for him… even if he was really charming and witty. Plus, we find that money can also buy health – what was that about? We never find out just what was wrong with the kid. Despite those flaws, I still liked the movie. It kept me entertained for a couple hours, and there was a lot of good acting from virtually every actor.

What Women Want
I’d really like to know. Unfortunately, all I learned from this movie is that they don’t even know. If you want to see a bunch of close-up scenes of Mel kissing some women, this is your movie. Otherwise, just see the preview.
Twister
Nobody had made a tornado movie (I’m not counting the wizard of oz), so I guess it was just a matter of time. I heard that a tornado actually hit a drive-in movie theater in Toronto while this movie was playing. I don’t know if it was during “that” scene though
Pay it Forward
Sure, it’s a feel-good movie with a difficult to believe premise, but I liked it because it didn’t slide into the realm of ridiculousness. It wasn’t really as much about the “pay it forward” concept as it was a love story. There were a few eye-rolling bits though – the suicide on the bridge scene & the ending… but that’s forgivable. It would have been so easy to have made this a really silly movie… which is what I expected, but didn’t find.
