Time Bandits
Yes, of course I liked this. Like I even need to type this “review”. Terry Gilliam is da man!
The Rock
Hollywood will use any excuse these days to show explosions and car chases. Why do they even bother with a plot or character development in these movies? Oh, that’s right… they don’t.
Medicine Man
Have you ever just watched a movie on fast-forward, stopping every so often to catch up on the plot? I’ve done that… not with this movie, but this would be a good candidate for the method. Sean Connery looks for a cure for cancer in the jungle, ho hum.
The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen
Extraordinarily ridiculous in so many ways it’s extraordinary.
Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade
I guess it was good, but it was essentially the same thing as Raiders of the lost ark. I’ll have to say that the Monty Python troupe had a lot more fun looking for the holy grrrrail.
The Hunt for Red October
Yer typical cold war espionage/submarine flick. What do I care if some idiots blow themselves up out in the middle of nowhere? Men and their games…
Highlander II
Doesn’t even deserve to be called a movie. What the hell was this crap? This movie is incredibly bad. When I think of all the people who’ve watched it, and all the people who made it… I just want to cry out loud! I wish I had a time machine, so I could go back and stop them from ever making this.
Highlander
This movie would have been great if it had just stopped with one movie. Instead, there is a whole “highlander” empire out there – TV show, stupid sequel, t-shirts, fan clubs, etc… All that stuff has really diluted the original. As for this movie, it was good, had one of the best bad guys ever. Especially, the bad guy’s voice.
Goldfinger
James bond kills a megalomaniac.
First Knight
Not bad… I almost forgot about this movie. It does have another unbelievable may-december romance in it (way too many these days), but given the time period in question, it does make sense.
Finding Forrester
And you thought the writing on this web site was good? Forrester is an old man who wrote one amazing book when he was young & later became a recluse. He magically meets up with a young writer-prodigy from “the hood”, and they help eachother. In the end everybody is happy, blah blah blah. It’s funny that if one makes a movie about a good writer, one needs to have good writing in it. During the parts where someone is reading aloud, the music drowns out the dialog… I guess the writers of this movie weren’t up to the task. If you liked Good Will Hunting, you’d like this movie… then again, you won’t really need to see it.
