One of Terry Gilliam’s best films, and that’s saying a lot. Pure whimsical fantasy executed with intelligence, creativity and beauty. This movie has style.

The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus
Wow… Who are these people who say that Terry Gilliam can’t tell a story? They’re completely clueless. This story has depth, imagination, originality, deep themes, a sweeping span, rhythm, color, mood, lessons about humanity, and more. It’s movies like this that make my dreams seem dull.
Brazil
One of my favorite movies of all time. There are so many reasons why that I can’t even begin to list them all. Everything in this movie was done perfectly.
Twelve Monkeys
Terry Gilliam is a genius again. I think he could make a film about paint drying and I’d love it.
Time Bandits
Yes, of course I liked this. Like I even need to type this “review”. Terry Gilliam is da man!
Monty Python and the Holy Grail
If you haven’t seen this, you’ve missed out on everything. If you saw it and didn’t laugh your ass off, then you have absolutely no sense of humor. You’re probably an idiot too.
Monty Python’s The Meaning of Life
In case you’ve ever wondered, leave it to Monty Python to answer life’s most urgent question. Philosophical throughout, this movie will forever change how you view your place in life and in the world at large.
Lost in La Mancha
Kind of like being a peeping Tom… There’s something entertaining about actually seeing Terry Gilliam do regular stuff. Too bad it was such a tragic disaster – would’ve been a great movie. One other thing – there are derogitory comments in this movie about “Baron Munchausen”, which I thought was an amazing movie. Who cares if it lost money! It was a great frickin’ movie!
Jabberwocky
A very strange movie. Most people forget about this one & the links to Monty Python… I’m not sure how many links there are actually, Terry Gilliam directed it, and I think a couple of Pythoners were in it. Everyone is afraid of the evil Jabberwocky, but nobody really knows what it is. I only saw this movie once, and I remember being confused. I think I’ll have to rent it again someday.
The Fisher King
Someday, I want to try rubbing my bare butt on a grass lawn in the middle of the night. It does look like it’d feel great. Of course I liked this movie… it felt great too. I can’t think of a Terry Gilliam movie that I didn’t like… or love.
Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas
A couple guys go to Las Vegas, do tons of drugs, trash hotel rooms, get in and out of trouble, and leave. If this sounds cool, then you’ll like this movie. I can’t imagine that a movie with this plot and script could have been done any better. It’s based on a book which I never read, so I can’t compare it to anything. it was a nice escape for a little while… now I feel like I don’t have to ‘do way too many drugs and go to Las Vegas’, I can just watch this movie instead.
