Ocean in View
We paused for a moment above Skógafoss to reflect on the journey. We'd just about made it... all that remained was a walk down to the campground, and a stroll to the beach. We'd started the hike honestly not knowing if we could do it, if it was possible, if we were crazy... Sitting there felt like a vindication. Everything had gone well, we were actually a day ahead of schedule. We had gotten lucky with the weather, and managed to stay healthy. To top it off, Iceland had given us a show like no other place on earth.
