Skógafoss
We arrived at the Skógafoss campground in the early evening under a steady mist. The campground consisted of a grassy plot not far from the waterfall. We took a walk over to the nearby hotel to have a celebratory meal. The hotel was having an all-you-can-eat buffet - music to the ears of any long-distance hiker. It was about the most expensive AYCE meal I've ever gotten, but it was also one of the best. We retired back to our tents to digest our meals and the events of the past few weeks. The next morning, Holger would continue on his journey (he finished 2 days later), and Dave and I would walk to the ocean and back.
