In general, things are sorted with the newest items near the tops of albums and galleries.

North Falls Forest Oregon
A state in the Pacific Northwest USA

Glacier Peak Washington
In the northwest corner of the United States

Yasaka Pagoda Asia
West of the Pacific, is the East.

Pele's Dress The Pacific
Islands of the world's biggest water.

Above Dettifoss Europe

Brown Pelican Mexico
Just to the south of the US is the land of fiestas and siestas.

Mask Temple of Lamanai Central America
Steaming jungles bounded by two oceans, and populated with a rich mix of both animals and humans.

Into the High Country South America
Mountains, jungles, rivers and so much more.

Misty Mountains Alaska
Alaska is huge. It's wild. It's the frontier. Massive mountains, rolling streams, abundant wildlife, expansive tundra, remote forests, rivers of ice, quiet fjords... Alaska has enough to keep anyone busy for a lifetime.

Across the HIlls California
They say it all starts in California. It's easily the most diverse state in the US, with deserts, ocean, mountains, forests and so much more.

Cactus Wren Arizona
A land of desert beauty - from the lowland Sonoran Desert to the high Ponderosa forests, and canyons all around.

Field Sparrow The Midwest US
Great Lakes and great cities surrounded by farmland, forests and prairies, is what the midwest is all about.

Shenandoah River Eastern US
From the Atlantic to the Great Lakes

Whump British Columbia
The west of Canada is some of the most wild and dramatic landscape on earth.

Peggy's Cove Lighthouse Nova Scotia
Nova Scotia is at the heart of maritime Canada. There are layers of natural beauty from the forested inlands to the wild coasts, and layers of history, from the native cultures to both French and British colonial periods. It all mixes together into one of Canada's true gems.

McGown Wetland Idaho
Filled with mountains, high-elevation deserts and potatoes. Idaho is a treat to explore.

The combination of water, sun, plantlife, wind & endless freeze/thaw cycles help carve amazing formations into the sandstone. Arches are formed by erosion of sandstone by forces other than flowing water. Natural bridges are rock formations that span a flow of water (or were created by flowing water). To me though, that's all just silly semantics. I wonder why we find it necessary to categorize things that have no practical purpose other than to be admired. Utah
Utah has so many unique and wonderous places, it's hard to list them all, much less visit them all. Here's just a sampling.

Patricia Ann's Sunset Dahlias
Just photos of these amazing flowers.

St John's-wort Flowers
I've been doing a bit of a fun series lately, just basic portraits of flowers from around the yard and neighborhood. These add up quickly, so look for lots more content soon.
