Eilifsvötn
We had no trail, no detailed map, and only a guess as to what the land underfoot might be like. Luckily, the view was clear, and we found the walking easy. Our goal was a group of peaks just south of the lake Eilifsvötn (seen here in the middle of the frame). The solitary mountain Eilifur rises above in the distance.
