Tungnaá
For much of the previous day, we had been taking a long track to the southwest to reach a bridge over the Tungnaá. The river had origins under Vatnajökull, near the area we'd camped two nights earlier, but it quickly built into an unfordable torrent. The bridge was the only way over.
