The north shore of Lake Superior is an inland coastline of harbors, forests, waterfalls and much more. Hwy 61 extends the length of the north shore, from Duluth to the border of Canada. Every few miles, it seems there is some new point of interest to grab one's attention.
Duluth is northern Minnesota's largest city. It's a hub for both industry & tourism - a gateway to the waters of Lake Superior, the woods and lakes of the north, and the mining country inland. This unique city has a character all its own.
The twin cities of St. Paul and Minneapolis Minnesota are at the urban center of the state. This large metropolitan area is bisected by the Mississippi river.
St. Cloud is located in central Minnesota, about an hour from the twin cities metro area. It's named after the city of Saint-Cloud, France, which in-turn was named for the 6th-century French monk Clodoald.
